The adult wasp is dark brown to black in colour and is 2-3 mm long. The female deposits her egg in a leafminer larva, preferably in the 1st or 2nd instar. The eggs hatch and the wasp larva feeds on and develops inside the leaf miner pupa. Eventually an adult wasp emerges from the pupa. |
