The commercial production of Bacillus cereus CIL typically involves cultivating selected strains of B. cereus under optimised fermentation conditions to maximise extracellular lipase yield. These bacteria are grown using cost-effective substrates, often agro-industrial waste like soybean extract or sugarcane bagasse, through solid-state or submerged fermentation processes. Once the culture reaches peak enzyme activity, the lipase is extracted from the fermentation broth, purified, and concentrated. |
