Hydrogen peroxide |
Last updated: 24/10/2024
|
|
(Also known as: hydrogen dioxide; dioxidane; hydroperoxide; hioxyl; albone) |
Hydrogen peroxide is a basic/commodity substance with some pesticidal applications. It is highly soluble in water and in its pure state it is highly volatile but much less so diluted. It is not environmentally persistent. Hydrogen peroxide is not expected to have an immediate or delayed harmful effect on human or animal health. At higher concentrations it is toxic to aquatic systems. |
The following alerts are based on the data in the tables below. An absence of an alert does not imply the substance has no implications for human health, biodiversity or the environment but just that we do not have the data to form a judgement.

Highly volatile. If applied directly to plants or soil, drift is a concern & mitigation is advisable |
