Benzofenap (Ref: MY 71)
Last updated: 19/08/2023
(Also known as: Yukawide)

SUMMARY
Benzofenap is a herbicide used mainly to control broad-leaved weeds in water-seeded rice. It has a low aqueous solubility, is not volatile and is moderately persistent in soil systems with a low risk of leaching to groundwater. Benzofenap tends to have a low to moderate toxicity to biodiversity. Its toxicity to mammals including humans is low if ingested. It is also a skin irritant.
Data alerts

The following alerts are based on the data in the tables below. An absence of an alert does not imply the substance has no implications for human health, biodiversity or the environment but just that we do not have the data to form a judgement.
