Fluazuron is synthesised through a multi-step chemical process involving the construction of a benzoylphenyl urea backbone. The production begins with the formation of key intermediates, typically aromatic amines and benzoyl chlorides, which undergo condensation reactions to form the urea linkage. A thermodynamically controlled telescopic synthesis has been developed to streamline the process, improving yield and purity by minimising intermediate isolation steps. | |||
